Growing Triangle Mints: flowering time, yield and breeder specs

Seed Junky Genetics gives Triangle Mints a 9–10 week flowering time and warns of very dense, heavy buds, with respectable yields if the plants get proper support; Hytiva lists 8–9 weeks and calls it fairly easy. Published grow data are thin: SeedFinder lists no user reviews and GrowDiaries no harvests for Seed Junky’s version.1,2,3

What the plant is like

Expect dense, heavy, frosty flowers. Seed Junky warns of “super dense, frosty nuggs that weigh very heavy”; AllBud describes heavy, frosty, minty-green buds coated in long amber hairs, and Hytiva round, dense dark-green buds with golden trichomes and amber pistils that are hard to break apart by hand.1,2,7

Leafly says the GSC side gives it dense buds and a complex herbal, spicy, earthy aroma with diesel undertones.6 From the parents, Leafly’s growers report that Triangle Kush stretches tall in the first three weeks of flowering and suits sea-of-green and screen-of-green setups, and that Animal Mints suits hot climates.4,8

What to watch for

The breeder’s warning is weight: its description ties respectable yields to proper plant support because the buds weigh very heavy.1 Sources disagree on the Triangle Kush side’s stretch, which Leafly’s growers call tall in early flowering and SeedFinder’s clone-only entry calls minimal, and on timing, from Hytiva’s 8–9 weeks to the breeder’s 9–10.1,2,4,5

Seeds and the law in the US

Under the amended federal definition of hemp, viable seeds from cannabis plants above 0.3% total THC, including THCA, are not hemp.9 Congress delayed that exclusion, with most of the new definition, from Nov 12 to Dec 11, 2026; only the exclusion of products with cannabinoids the plant cannot produce naturally starts on Nov 12.9,10 Home cultivation rules are set by each state. This site does not sell seeds.
